Alison VanDerVolgen was born in New Jersey and raised in Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona, receiving a BA in Political Science with a minor in Sociology and graduated magna cum laude. While at the University of Arizona, Alison took many classes to prepare her for her legal career, including classes focused on the United States Constitution and Constitutional Law.
While at the University of Arizona, Alison participated in the Arizona Blue Chip Program, a four year leadership development program. The Blue Chip Program allowed Alison to develop a deeper understanding of leadership and how to apply it in everyday life. She took classes on leadership, mentored students, and attended and presented at leadership conferences as part of her membership in this program. Alison also became a member of several honor societies, including Phi Beta Kappa, to which only students with the highest academic achievements are invited to join.
Alison attended Seattle University School of Law and graduated in 2009. While at SU, she was an active member of the law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta and represented her school at the National Convention in 2008. Alison also participated in the Family Law Clinic at SU and gained an interest in family law. During the Clinic, Alison had the opportunity to work on real cases under the mentorship of experienced attorneys and gained an appreciation of the effect family law matters have on the people involved in them, especially the children.
Since graduating law school, Alison has worked mostly in the field of family law, and greatly enjoys the ability to help people in their time of need. Alison has been with Clement Law Center since 2010. She is proud to be a member of a firm which provides quality representation and has an amazing support staff.
