Do Single Parents Have More Fun A very popular organization among single parents is Parents Without Partners which has chapters in Kent, Tacoma, North Seattle and Bellevue. Parents Without Partners is an international, non-profit organization for single parents. They hold activities for single parents and also conduct family activities and outings. Family activities can include parlor games, trips to the zoo, picnics and potlucks. Parent activities include dinners, classes on weeknights, dances on the weekend, and other activities. Dues are $35.00 per year, and there are some charges for family activities which require an entrance fee. All net proceeds are applied toward the funding of family events for single parents. The member of any chapter can attend functions for any other chapter. The next class for the Kent chapter will be 7:00 p.m. on September 14, 1998 at a private home on the east hill in Kent. The speaker will be Bruce Clement, a Federal Way attorney, who will speak on "Single Parents and the Law".
