Expungement of Criminal Convictions
Expungements
The purpose of an expungement proceeding is to erase a person's criminal record. The proceedings may be started after a period of time has passed-5 years or 10 years-based on the seriousness crime if there has been no intervening criminal conduct. The expungement process helps people rehabilitate their lives and their reputations. A successful expungement means they do not have to check those boxes on employment applications that ask about convictions. We follow through with contacting the individual law enforcement agencies. We request that they expunge other computer and paper records which may not automatically be erased by the Court Order
